ICIBEL 2026

The ICIBEL conference is organized by the Center for Innovation in Medical Engineering (CIME), Universiti Malaya, in collaboration with the Malaysian Society of Medical and Biological Engineering (MSMBE) and the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFBME, USA). The ICIBEL conference covers the fields of Biomedical Engineering and is held every 2 years.

The ICIBEL (International Conference on Intelligent Biology and Medicine) conference is an important event that takes place twice a year and brings together researchers from both academia and industry working in the field of biomedical and life sciences. The conference provides a platform for disseminating new research findings, exchanging knowledge, and networking with peers.

The first ICIBEL conference was held in December 2015 at the Putrajaya Pullman Lakeside Hotel, Malaysia, and was followed by the second conference in December 2017 in Penang. The third conference was held in collaboration with UMCIC (University of Malaya Center for Innovation and Commercialization) and the 1st World Congress on Falls and Postural Stability (WCFPS) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in December 2019.

ICIBEL 2026

The conference serves as a great opportunity for researchers to showcase their research, receive feedback, and create new collaborations with other scientists. With each conference, the ICIBEL community grows stronger and more vibrant, and the latest developments in the field of biomedical and life sciences continue to be shared among peers. Proceedings papers presented at the conference will be published by Springer, Scopus, Scimago and Google scholar, while selected conference papers have also been published in the Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing (MBEC).

OBJECTIVES

To foster collaboration and innovation, we provide a platform for biomedical engineering delegates to share research and exchange ideas.

To encourage researchers and postgraduate students to publish research papers with minimal expenses.

To enhance research quality thru workshops on the latest research technologies.
